This event was hosted by the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Fund Administrators (SBS) of Peru.
The Open Session of the AGM commenced at 13.30 on 27 November 2024. The FinCoNet Secretariat provided an update on the joint work that FinCoNet is undertaking with other International Organisations and groups, then Standing Committees 2 and 3 presented their ongoing work. Participants also had the opportunity to engage in the FinCoNet Member Roundtable focused on forward-looking supervisory risks, trends and priorities.
Day 2 of the Open Session, on 28 November 2024, started with an update from Standing Committees 4 and 6. These updates were followed by a continuation of the roundtable session focused on foward-looking supervisory risks, trends and priorities. The afternoon session was dedicated to a Workshop which explored supervision of debt collection activities.
The Seminar, was held on 29 November 2024, co-hosted by FinCoNet and the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Fund Administrators of Peru (SBS). The Seminar addressed the topic of Quality financial products: what are the roles of product oversight and SupTech?
The Seminar discussed how market conduct supervisors can support the provision of quality financial products to consumers and the relevance of product governance and culture to deliver suitable products. The lastest developments relating to the use of SupTech by market conduct supervisors and how SupTech can support the provision of quality financial products were also explored.
